On this page is why Slipknot chose this phrase, examples of it and my own
personal opinion
Why this phrase? Slipknot
chose this phrase as they see the human race as a disease on this planet, a virus that spreads causing troubles across the
face of this planet. The phrase could have been People=Disease or something like that. They are generally sick of the way
the human race works and the whole system of greed, especially the music industry and the way in which it is no longer perceived
as an art. They want a change and this is one of the things they strive for. They do not hate individuals, they just
hate the whole general thing. "The more I see the more it makes me Sick", "I can't help it I was born into this evil and I'm
sick of it." - Shawn. "Besides all of us just being a bunch of spores and living in our pathetic little ecosystems, I as a
fellow human am just tired of watching the majority of humans make mistakes. I'm done with it, I've had it. We are what we
are, we just waste and we ruin and we corrupt and we destroy. To me, that's just waste, that's shit. Fuck people."

During the period in which Stalin was in power in Russia (communist regime) he
became paranoid and started to kill the so called traitors who were to blame for the fall in industry output. His paranoia
got out of hand and he ended up killing 7 million in total, through the secret police and all. This alone is disgusting but
what really gets me is the fact that people, as a form of revenge, while the purges are going on and knowing full well that
the victim would get killed, sold out their enemies as traitors simply to gain their enemy's possessions and get heroic treatment.
